Miss-Vw 2 Posted November 4, 2009 Report Share Posted November 4, 2009 Ive just spent 500 quid getting my old VR back on the road again, its now got a lovely 12 months MOT, new cat, new rear discs and pads, new tyres, tappests are sorted - all set to go! Except there's one thing that's bothering me. I was doing about 100 down the motorway the other day and noticed my revs were sitting at about 4000 in 5th gear, is that in the normal range for 100mph?? Probably sounds like a really stupid question but the car just sounded like it was under a bit of pressure and Im pretty sure the revs never used to sit that high. It idles fine and sits at about 700rpm. Any ideas? Link to post Share on other sites
