VR6 REBORN 0
Hello and thanks in advance for any help. I have a 1998 mk3 Golf VR6 OBDII. I had the error codes read when I bought it just to be sure that everything is as it should be and it threw up an error code of 029C battery terminal 30 voltage 'signal too low' I have searched the net high and low to find an answer to this without any joy what so ever. The nearist thing to it i found was regarding a relay on a 2000 model Scoda.Any help would be much appriciated as this is the last problem to fix on my little beuty before I start playing with cosmetics of the car. VR6 REBORN 0
thx, so basically its remembered when i've removed the battery clip to reset the ecu?Another point, the reason I did that was because the MFA doesnt re-set when I start a new journey? Any clues?
thegoth 5
you have it set to position 2.
VR6 REBORN 0
You mean the 2 point postion on the stalk? If so is it supposed to re-set if its set to position 1 and on the same matter if I flick it to the 0 postion does this re-set it also?
Ben Seabrook 4
should be at position 0 to re-set for every trip I think !!! that's where I keep mine at all the way to the left
craggsy 91
There is a 0 left and right aint there....it goes on MFA stick 0210 dont it.....been a while now since ive drove mine
Ben Seabrook 4
yeah that's what I couldn't remember that's why I said all the way to the left !!! not very technical but you get the idea
thegoth 5
position 1 is the trip counter which resets itself once the car hasn't been running for an hour or two. position 2 keeps counting until reset. holding the switch in the zero position resets which ever counter. VR6 REBORN 0
OK thx for the help, in this case then I think I may require a new stalk as it doesnt matter which position the switch is in, the unit just wont reset unless i disconnect the battery terminal.
