what else do you need for a conversion?

hi all

looking for a doner car for a convertion, i've found a good looking golf auto. i know ill need a vr gear box do i also need the linkage? or can i even use my original box from my mk2 8v

You need the gear linkage, as the VR is cable select, and your 8v will be rod select.

You will also need a corrado pedal box, with master cylinder and servo.

Alot of people say you need a corrado rad, but you can do it with the mk3 one, just cut the fan housing down and make some custom brackets!!

Solid front engine mount, or corrado crossmember with corrado mount. The solid ones where on ebay for about £30.

Brake bias valve if using the rear vr breaks. I used one that you can adjust yourself. Your donor may have a sufficiant one still on it??
