petrolh34d 0
Recently bought a '96 VR6 Highline, and have discovered that the coilovers in it are shagged.Looking to keep this car relatively sensible, and am looking for advice on the best lowering kit to go for which will give me the best handling and a tasetful drop.My last car was stupidly low on Raceland coilovers. These coilovers are great for going low, and to be honest I really liked the confidence that the extreme stiffness of these coilies inspired when going around the corners, but by God are they stiff, and basically rattled the car apart over time. Pearsy47 1
I heard that ap coilovers are not bad they are made my kw and Weitec and they are not bad on the price thats what im going to go for !!! here is the link to some http://www.venommotorsport.com/manufacturer_product.php?manufacturer=AP&category=suspension&product=Coilovers&make=VW&model=Golf%20Mk%
Miss-Vw 2
They dont look too bad actually, easier on the wallet aswell! As opposed to Koni coilovers which is what I was going to save up for.

petrolh34d 0
I don't know if I want to go down the coil over root again.I'm not looking for serious droppage, as it wrecked my last Mk 2 Gti.I'm really looking for a spring and shock setup to be honest. I'm getting old and boring you see, and looking for a relatively sensible option .
Ben Seabrook 4
get some Koni's then mate every car I have been in with them the ride quality is excellent top quality shocks
craggsy 91
The Mk3 will not rattle to peices like the old mk2s do. Bit better built.I run KONI coilovers and cannot rate them enough

Miss-Vw 2
Oh right! Ive been looking in completely the wrong places then
rodney 17
The theory goes Eibach springs and Koni shocks for almost all Golfs.. you get standard drops on them if your going kits. 25mm is the minimum you want to go but that just makes it look like a gti rather than a boat... LOLIf you do a general search on line you will find some good deals.. Always worth being a prmium member if you find them at one of those companies sponsered then you get discounts which will total more than £15 premium mebership fee... Also though dont hold me to this Eibach are a supplier to Koni, so check out your spring colours to see if they are suppied by them, or not as all manufacturers tend to use colour as part of their badge and ID...
