Jetex exhaust fitting problem!

Recommended Posts

I have had problem after problem with the fitting of my Jetex exhaust.

I had it fitted by a local garage as they are a family friend and normally very good.

Since the exhaust was fitted last year it has been back to the garage several times due to knocking and blowing and I am now, over a year on, completely fed up and looking into fitting a standard system.

Before I spend my hard earned I have been told that there are several common fitting issues.

That one of the boxes can be fitted the wrong way round causing a gap between the front box and the cat (I have a spacer pipe fitted that I am also told I shouldnt need, and is currently blowing)

If anyone has a copy of the original fitting instructions they could email me or any advice I would be very grateful, it's driving me crazy!!

Cheers

Phil

i just fitted a new box to my jetex and the only trouble i have had was it kept droppin one side but that was due to the joint at the 6 branch to my de cat .... u cant get any slincers round the wrong way as they are ediot proof ...i`ve had to use a spacer sleeve on mine to go from the decat to the system jaut make sure they are using stainless clamps as if u use standard ones the react with the stainless and rust and break very quickly ..... sounds like its knockin on the rear axle which i had just moved the system foward by pushin the de cat into the system more
