AJmk2 2
Just wanted to know a bit more about the unit itself. How does it actually adjust the length of the intake , also does it take signal from rpm?
craggsy 91
Signal is taken from ECU feed.....cant remember which ones. Set to open flap at whatever preset RPM you want. The signal is sent to the schrick control box then onto a valve which is plumbed into the vacuum system which then opens the flap
AJmk2 2
Do you happen to know if there just one big flap near the throttle body or are there lots of individual ones?Does the car need a remap to get the extra power from it ?Thanks for the info
craggsy 91
The flap is in front of the runners....without taking it apart i dont know how it works fully. It doesnt need mapping but will always benefit it
FishWick 21
The ECU signal feed is the rpm wire - thin green with black tracer. The Schrick isn't like the R32 manifold which switches between long and short runners, but rather switches between 1 bank of 6 or 2 banks of 3. It's just one big flap in the middle where the plastic actuator valve is.
