Phat VR6 3
yeah weld it up fella. If you can weld yourself do what i did and cut a 1.5cm band out the sump and weld it back together . got to fit a r32 oil pump as well though
legvw 0
Neat idea bodge! Do you loose alot of oil capacity in there?
DanH 1
yea how does it get on with the oil capacity? i wanted to do this but was strongly advised against it.......cant c it being a huge difference tho. how much was ur r32 pickup?
Phat VR6 3
Its the same as running on the min mark on the dipstick. which is fine so i can't think there's anything wrong with it.Dan who advised against it and what where there reasons? If you wanted to be anal about it, it might raise oil temp a little bit as there's less oil to spread the head, doing an oil change slightly more offen would be a good idea as the oil might age quicker because theres less oil. but apart from that the oil levels the same distance from the crank and pick up the same distance from the bottom so im thinking all is good I got my pick up for £90 from VW but i did blag a 15% discount
