NICHOLIS 0 Posted November 24, 2004 Report Share Posted November 24, 2004 I have a golf 3 vr6 95" its been jerking and loosing power as if there was not enouph spark /fuel had it cheched at vw but no errors were picked up.What i`ve noticed is there were two relays getting extremly hot LAMBDAR SENSOR RELAY & FUEL PUMP RELAY i have replaced these but they are still getting hot!! and this intermitant problem persists... acf8181 0 Posted November 24, 2004 Report Share Posted November 24, 2004 well, to be honest i've never felt my relays so not sure if that normal.could be leads or coilpack...try lightly spraying water over them at night with the engine running and look for any sparks. may also be worthwhile checking oil the leads are pushed onto the plugs properly. apd 0 Posted November 24, 2004 Report Share Posted November 24, 2004 had similar symtoms,also intermittent none starting.noticed that with the casing off VOLTAGE STABILISER RELAY 109 it had a hairline crack on the soldered joint[microscope].electrician saod common fault on VW/AUDI.changed relay 12quid from dealer-CURED. grayo94 0 Posted November 24, 2004 Report Share Posted November 24, 2004 hope it is 12 quid relay mine been getting worse over last year with exactly same problem, for 12 quid give it a go as i was told the same by vw no fault. i have also found that the car goes through loads more fuel than previously. hope this does the trick been doin my nut in Link to post Share on other sites
