craggsy 91
How easy is it to get at the lambda sensor as I beleive mine is on way out or dead as im overfueling and it seems to run better without lambda plugged in.I have a decat coming monday/tuesday so can swap over with that if neccesary and easier, I also have the wideband sensor to go in as well so might just do it that way.Oh and best place to buy from...VW or GSF? daleyboyVR6 6
The lambda on my car is at the top of the pipe just after the bend (on the horizontal bit), about 6" behind the downpipe/cat joint. From what ive heard on the corrado forum the best thing to do is to go to Bosch direct. I know the part no for OBD 1 but thats it.........would have thought that the golf wouldnt be that different........its an underneath job so a front end lift would be the order of the day, i would say lift the side and go under but they can be a bit difficult to get off without decent access.........hope this helps..............with your new decat then obviously put the new sensors in the pipe (much easier than trying to get the old sensor out from the existing exhaust) and it would be a case of disconnecting the old one which i believe is reachable from under the bonnet......... :-p OBD 1 - VAG 021-906-265A Bosch 0 258 003 267/
