jonny-5 10
Good day,I've just changed the timing chains on my new VR6 - hopefully going to finish it tonight. I was thinking that it would probably be best to crank the engine over a few times on the starter to get the oil pressure in the new tensioner up before i let it run on it's own steam. Just wondering what the best way to do this is on a OBD2 VR6? Fuel pump fuse out job? I used to take the + lead off the coil on my G60 but the VR6 obviously has a coil pack. Thanks in advance
legvw 0
Try un-plugging the 4 pin plug on the coil pack, then the coil won't get a signal and won't fire. But take the plugs out too, engine will turn over easier and you won't flood it.
jonny-5 10
Cheers for the reply, I ended up just taking the fuse out. My heart was in my mouth when I first started it, but it ran sooo sweetly. Well pleased with it
