gavwatt1981 0 Posted June 23, 2009 Report Share Posted June 23, 2009 i have resently done the best thing i've ever done and bought a golf mk4 2.8 4motion on a 51 plate with no modifications and 2owners, most resent a female who owned it for the last 6years and did less than 8thousand miles per year, it has 50thousand miles on the clock and i love her nearly as much as the missus (keep that between us yeah) i got it reasonably cheap so have some money to start doin discreet quality modifications, 1st of which i'd like to fit some nice wheels but don't want to send the earth on them and don't know enough about what sizes would do to its performance etc, could anyone help and do they know where cheap good alloys can be found, possibly 2nd hand?thanks for your help. rusty dan 1 Posted June 23, 2009 Report Share Posted June 23, 2009 with wheels it really is a personal choice tbh, have a good look at other mk4 style golfs and see what look takes your fancy, I assume you will be looking for 5x100 fitment alloys and of course they come in all sizes most common for that car I would say 17" and upwards (depending what look you want).low and wide, race look etc...Get on edition38 forum and see the mk4 appreciation threads to see whats what imo.Russ Link to post Share on other sites
