amazak 3
Are they 225/45/17's? If so I am sure they will not go on the rears?? Nice wheel spray them black with red inserts (h)
RAPgolfvr6182 2
nah not lowering it yet.and its a stupid amount of money to change all 4 tyres to 205/40/17 so going to run 225/45/17 until they want changing. the bloke who i bought them off didnt list tyres size my own stupid fault really should have asked
RAPgolfvr6182 2
was told could fit 9j's on the back n 8j on the front so should be able to run 235 on the back. they fit ok on the front and not rubbing on full lock so would have thought they would be ok on the back
craggsy 91
well its an Audi size tyre so he wouldnt think too. But yeah if you aint lowering you should be fine till they wear down, but watch you speed tho mate as speedo will be out

RAPgolfvr6182 2
yeh so need to be doing 65mph to be doing 70mph but earlier went out to see if they cought n i was doing 25mph to comensate for my tyres being wrong size n car in front was pulling away like a train
craggsy 91
Use a satnav with gps speed reading on it and you will know then what speeds to drive
RAPgolfvr6182 2
yes but satnav speed is never very accurate. as its slower than the speed ur actually doing due to the fact the signal has to travel to the satalite and back to the gps unit giving a false reading its always 3mph slower than ur actual speed until ur over 100mph and then the gap between the correct speed increases
CALICO 130
it dosnt have to travel to a satellite, GPS works from more than 1 satellite to accuratly determin your position otherwise it would tell you to turn left 3 seconds too late. have you fitted the rears yet i tried fitting 205/55/16 and they fould the rear standard struts so could not fit
RAPgolfvr6182 2
no not fitted rears yet will do that to day n see if they fit on the back
