hi, i haven't even picked up my new golf vr6 (i saw 'new' more like k reg) yet. it was so gorgeous and original i had to buy it, and i choose to take a 'calculated' risk when doing so as the temperature needle is stuck all the way over to the right (in the highest temp reading zone) even when the engine is cold. its obviously bust. any ideas as to what i could be looking at as a repair. e.g is this a common problem, and more importantly is there a common solution. ideas as to the different things that could cause this would be helpfull.

cant wait to get it!
