craggsy 91
Does the inlet manifold have to be on when running this test as its kinda difficult to get to some of the plugs with it on.Will it affect the outcome by having the manifold off?Never done a compression test before so just asking
CALICO 130
No the inlet mani does not need to be on and the engine needs to not run so disconnect something to stop it starting ie: coilpack not that it would run with the spark plugs out but if you only had one out it might still start
craggsy 91
fuel pump relay will be coming out as well as disconnecting coil pack....just needed to make sure it wouldnt affect the outcome
CALICO 130
No it just measures the cylinder compression so nothing outside that makes any difference . i cant remember how many times you need to turn it over to get a proper reading its been a while
craggsy 91
been reading up and says 5 or 6 times or about 10 secs
