crouchy 0 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Share Posted April 29, 2009 hi, really need some help sorting my 1997 golf vr6.had the car nearly 8 years and 7 of them have been excelent.now last year i had spluttering problems in the rain, after fitting new ht leads, platinum plugs and a new coil pack the problem vanished.2 weeks later the car starts holding back at low revs,not when its cold though.once i nail it and it clears it go like it alwys has.had the throttle body off and cleaned it and it was fine for a couple of days and then starts again.had 4 people look at it including RAC and they all say it could be throttle body related or blocked exhaust.anyone please help Link to post Share on other sites

crouchy 0 Posted April 30, 2009 Author Report Share Posted April 30, 2009 Thanks for that advice,thats wot came up on first diagnostic report but when RAC plugged it in there was no fault there.gotta be sensors, throttlebody or blocked cat,just gotta start with the cheapest.
