twoscoops 0
Anybody used Poorboys Natty Blue on a Dragon Green car? I am about to get some and just wanted to check if anyone had any good results?cheers
SankysVR6 1
I've used this on my car, and it does leave a nice dark finish. Smells of bubble gum.Depends what sort of finish you want on the dragon green.Clarity, wetness, darkness etc etc
twoscoops 0
to be honest mate the paint has never been looked after by the previous owner as far as I can see so I am planning tp clay it, Megs 1 and 2 and then natty blue. I may swap the Megs 2 for some SRP as there are alot of swirls. The paint is very dead looking and dull so I was hoping for a mixture of depth and wetness to try and get some of the shine back into it.Cheers

twoscoops 0
Those are nice results nero, thanks for posting the photo, gives a good level of depth.Xyber I would love to use P21 but to be honest its a bit pricey at the minute considering the condition of the paintwork. So that we can advise better. You don't have to go buy new products all the time, you could make do with what you already have. Just using it in the right combination. twoscoops 0
Sankys I have the Megs 3 step range, some SRP, Sonus green clay bar and some AG bumper care at the minute. I have used the 3 step to good effect the last couple of times but I just feel that the wax doesnt last too long. All of the above was used on my last car which had much better paint. The VR hasnt been touched by me yet other than regular washing and as said the paintwork is dull and swirly!I was hoping that the Natty Blue might provide a stronger level of protection and depth / wet look. I am open to other suggested waxes around the £15 mark.cheers
SankysVR6 1
If you want good protection with a nice deep wet looking gloss, i would leave the nattys blue and just buy the colinite 476 or 845, Depending on how you like to apply the wax.I use the 845 for cold winter months, and apply it with a PC as I can whizz around it no time. There is a bit of deal here if you buy it with the MF cloths and applicator pads.http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/index.php?manufacturers_id=26&osCsid=c8ed5e1a42abf78757962bf74e5588ecAnd this is how i would go about it.WashClayWashMegs DC1AG SRPMegs DC2 (If your feeling up to it, should give it more depth) as it very close to a glazeAG Bumper Care for the plastics.ColiniteGlassHope that helps
twoscoops 0
Sankys thats a brilliant help mate, I had been wondering about using the Megs 2 on top of the SRP and whether it would work or just remove the SRP.I unfortunately will be applying and buffing by hand. Up to know I havent used a paste wax like 476 soare there any benefits one over the other? you obviously use the 845. For summer months is the 476 better or worse?Cheers mate
xyber 1
wax is abit weird, some you get on with, others you dont. I use a few, one of them being 476 just because it is so durable and detergent proof, then use a layer or 2 of p21 or chemical guys 50/50 on top of that476 is also very good at protecting wheels from salt and brake dust so is like several products in one

You won't need one on top of the other, if you want to do something like that. You will better off with another wax like Xyber has recomended above on top of either the 476 or 845I just pefer a more flake popping wax in the summer, as i'm not looking for durablity just bling. As i like to wax in the summer everytime after washing if i can.
twoscoops 0
Cheers xyber and Sankys. So what flake popping wax do you use for the summer then??
SankysVR6 1
Chemical guys 50/50, Nattys Blue, Pinicale signiture is the wax i'm using at the momment. But it all depends on my mood at the time. LOLGood luck with it all and let us know how you get on with it all with pictures.
xyber 1
Time to get your wallet out hahaha This stuff is a glaze that soaks into the paint and basically feeds it and will bring the flake to lifehttp://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/glazes/ez-glaze-with-acrylic-shine-ii/prod_145.htmlThen on top of that, use a sealant, I use thishttp://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/sealants/chemical-guys-blitz-spray-sealant/prod_227.html. This is where it starts to really shinethen wax on topThe most important part thought is letting each step fully cure before the next and use a different decent microfibre cloth for each productThings like the 1st 2 products you'd apply, leave for 20 min, buff off, leave for 20 min, then apply the next product in the same way.Waxes, apply very thinly, leave until it wipes away cleanly with a swipe of your finger, then buff off and leave for a minimum of 1hr, better would be a few hours, or if you are doing this indoors leave for 24 hours. I tend to leave for about 2 hours whilst I vac out the inside and have my dinner, then do another layer, then next morning give it a rinse and do another layer or
