I need to change my HT leeds as my engine is misfiring and upon inspection number 1 HT leed gave me an electrical shock.

So I want to remove this but I cant seem to do it.

Any ideas?

if you touch the leads un-protected they'll give you a shock even if they're in perfect condition! lol

so doesn't mean theres anything wrong with them.

theres a special tool required to safely removed leads without damaging them, it should be clipped onto the bonnet support rod. if it isn't there you can get a new one for vw for about £15, or get a fancy metal aftermarket one from somewhere (someone onn here will have a link) for a little more (the metal one is much better than the o.e. one). or you can remove the manifold with the leads still there (but unplugged form coilpack end) and carefully remove them when the manifold is raised.
