jimphudson 0 Posted March 24, 2009 Report Share Posted March 24, 2009 Whilst trying to fit a new polished manifold cover, I have split a pipe, the one from the back left of the rocker cover where the initial pipe, after about 1 inch joins to ......?? Took me a while to reply as I bought a manifold cover to polish up. I fitted it and the car would not start after much trying to find the problem it turns out the manifold i polished and put on had some packaging from postage stuck in it which was sucked into the engine. Resulting in no combustion in 5 out of 6 cylinders. In the garage now estimated repair bill of £550.Anything you would recomend doing/ replacing whilst the engine is stripped down?
