This is a truly first class forum!) to say hello and post some details of my project and see what you think! The plan is to build a track day car (and later convert it to a rally car by final preps to meet MSA Blue Book Standards to get it log booked) This is what I was thinking. Mk3 VR6. Fully strip the interior including all none essential electronics. The the following...OMP Full cage. 2 x OMP RS Seats 2 x Schroth 6 point Harness OMP WRC Steering Wheel AVO GTZ Coilovers Scorpion Full Exhaust SystemIKON Hi Flow Sports Cat Black Diamond Combi Brake Discs (vented) Black Diamond Solid Rear Discs Black Diamond Front Track Brake Pads Black Diamond Rear Predetor PadsBlack Diamon Performance Clutch Braided Brake Hose Kit K&N Air Induction Kit B&M Quick Gear Shift Kit The result should be pushing 220bhp from those modifications with any luck and an engine rebuild. Possible later additions are light performance flywheel and cams. Anyone got any thoughts or suggestions ? They would be most welcome.Kind regardsAsh Link to post Share on other sites

When doing the clutch consider doing the timing chains and tensioners. However the standard clutches are pretty darn good with several people using them with ~300bhp forced induction set ups.As no doubt you will keep us updated as the build progresses I'll move this thread to the projects section. cabrioman 6 Posted March 18, 2009 Report Share Posted March 18, 2009 sounds like my kinda car ... i got a black diamond clutch in mine with a light flywheel had no worries so far ill let u know how it copes on the strip if it can with stand my use then it will with stand anyones abuse lol ...
