f4rrs 0
Hi,I have a rusty door that i would like to remove from my 3 door 95 VR6.The questions are:What needs to be removed before gaining access to the hinges?Do you need to remove the bumper and front wing?If so where are the mountings for the front bumper?Looking at the front wing the top part looks easy to remove but how do you remove the bottom bit? Many Thanks in advancePaul
thegoth 5
no need to mess with any body panels at all. In the middle of the hinge there is a small grub screw, possibly covered with a cap. Undo both of those and lift the door off the hinge pins.

thegoth 5
I had a glance at my J reg hinges earlier and they are, as usual :-( , completely different. Doesn't look like they can be simply lifted off.
Bigjobbo 0
Grub screw on the top and multi splines on the bottom, i think, check strap and loom. If your fitting a new door, strip it on the car and then take it off. Check condition of window reg while your delving.
