You have just made me very happy Yep, Its only going to be stainless or mild steel, both easy to weld, You might be able to just fill it up. if not make a little plate to weld over it.wouldn't think it would be very expensive Link to post Share on other sites
gavinvr6 0 Posted February 28, 2009 Report Share Posted February 28, 2009 that looks like mild steel, stainless shouldnt do that. thats the point of it. it can be patch repeired but if the metal is bad along the entire length welding it will just make it worse. use some gun gum and a little bit of tin can as a plate. gum it up stick the tin plate to it and gumm it again.
