mpgscott 0
Anyone used Kwik-fit for re-charging there air con? If so what like?I am in the process of getting my system up and running and am awaiting the delivery of a drier unit which should arrive today or tomorrow, and just want to know if i am as well to go to them. The worry i have is that the system is totally empty and will require a charge and oil which i am sure the machine will do, but will they simply look at the system try the valve and say no sorry its knacked? If they pressurise the system then hopefully it should all be ok.Whats the thoughts?
VR6_Absy 0
I went to Kwik fit last year with an empty system but left dissapointed as the guy didn't know what he was doing and somehow managed not to fill the system. They have a statement saying that if they don't improve the performance you don't pay. In your case with an empty system there's a good chance it will improve.Initially they suck out anything in the system and i think hold a vacuum test to prove its integrity. They then put in the oil and pressurise. It all seemed straight forward at the time and all controlled by the machine. The mobile guy i had in the end reckoned they just forgot to open the valve to put the oil in, doh lolGo for it mate, whoever you have is going to charge and kwik fit are cheap ;-)
