I've been thinking... Cleaning etc

Recommended Posts

ok so this is a lazy research... I am hoping someone will just say... Ah what you need is..

I have noticed that over this winter period, as my car has to live outside. I am going to need to do rather a major clean. There is a little bit of the old green moss type stuff making an effort to live on a couple of spots. In the rubber by the wing mirrors, on a section of the sun roof external seal & in that gap around the rear window...

Now I know I am being picky but I don't like it and I don't want it. So come march/April time I will be dealing with that! Also as I am an annual Le Mans chap. I can't have my car with that on whilst at the races. So it needs to go!

So here is the lazy research question. I am going to look at getting it done by a professional :o ! I won a tenner on the lottery :D ( and I do mean a tenner! - it was my first)

So who do we know who does this kinda stuff?

How much does it cost?

Is it worth it?

Should I just get of my big ol' butt and do it myself even though the appeal of someone doing it is great and buying a pint and watching them do it.?? ( - remember spending helps the economy)

I will be hoping to have a spot of paint (Tesco ****Holes :@ ) done around the same time so I want to make it look like it should again ready for the sun.

Comments and info appreciated

Cheers

R

I may be giving you my own paint destruction technique, but I use a hose without an attachment, finger over the end to create a very less powerfull jet washer and spray it around all the openings like the rear window n stuff and watch all the mossy stuff and black gunky stuff come off.........or a jet washer.
