mpgscott 0 Posted January 8, 2009 Report Share Posted January 8, 2009 Happy New Year Laddies and Gents.Have just completed the lovely task of replacing the heater matrix and this has been the first time i have opened the glove box.In there i see a connection which the end of my imobiliser would appear to slot into can anyone tell me what this is for?? Does it turn the alarm off or override it??Also managed to swap over the heater matrix without removing the steering column and the need for new shear buts what a bugger. spindat45 0 Posted January 8, 2009 Report Share Posted January 8, 2009 I have one of these plugs in the glovebox of mine. It is the override plug for the factory fitted Conlog alarm. I've got a Clifford on mine now so it's of no use. Any more info on how you got the matrix out without removing the steering column? Link to post Share on other sites
mpgscott 0 Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 9, 2009 Cheers for reply, with regards the heater matrix i simply took out the dash which is straight forward enough then i simply removed the 4 x large torx bolts that are at either side of the door uprights that hold the main crossmember piece in place that is under the dash. Then i released the 4 bolts (3 without air con) that hold the heater matrix and fan motor in place moved this forward then wedged it out with a piece of wood (bit brutal but works) then got a mate to hold it like this so i could remove the matrix and replace then let go and refit. Piece of piss really. Saves having to do any pulling apart of the steering column simply remove the steering wheel and then the dash. I would even go as far as to say dont bother removing the two large torx on the dirver side simply remove the two on the passenger side.Hope this helps Link to post Share on other sites
