Timah89 1
Water pump, aux belt tensioner, starter motor, radiator, ignition leads, coil pack are all standard stuff [fixable yourself for c£400] and if you are really unlucky timing chain/tensioners which can cost c£1000 as clutch change at same time is advisable. Don't touch an auto though - Good Luck
chasman 0
thanks for the quick reply, the starter motor has gone on it actually, is this an easy fix??? thanks
Timah89 1
Took me about three hours including trip to GSF as it is an exchange unit c£100 with VR^ owners club discount. It is usually the braid which corrodes through - if you have an auto electrician/alternator/starter repair man near you it will be a lot less!
