But I can't get it secure - the little clamp thing doesn't seem to keep the battery too secure - you can slide it back and forthAnyone else had this issue? Link to post Share on other sites
spindat45 0 Posted December 18, 2008 Report Share Posted December 18, 2008 i've not had this problem on my car but when I worked as a mechanic, occaisionally we had this problem with a few makes of battery. An easy mistake is to have the clamp upside down/back to front. (Just a thought) Providing it's the correct battery power wise, try sliding a small piece of wood between the clamp and the base of the battery. As long as the piece of wood is no more tha 1 cm thick and about the same length as the clamp it should tighten enough to hold your batteyr in place without being seen. Not ideal but it will stop the battery from sliding about,Kevin Link to post Share on other sites
