adsvr6 0
i have just changed the headgasket on my golf once it was all back together i started it and it sounded great. but after a couple of mins running i started hearing noise from the timing chain end.a bit of investigating i found the upper tensioner that bolts through the back had a split in the inner washer, so i have replaced it with a new one.just started the car again and still the same noise it does not seem that there is any tension on the upper chain.when i had the head off i did see that the rear guide did look a little worn but not enough to worry about.please help im baffled at the moment.
