vrandrew 0
Hi all was wondering if anyone had an idea as to how much i should sell my vr for? im very upset by this so please be kind!!Its a 1996 p reg highline in black done 140000 miles and starts first time and runs sweet pulls very nice still. has koni eibach suspension and a ram air filter. It has a small dent to the drivers wing ( i have a spare in white in good condition) and a carpark scratch on the passanger door. the interior is in very good condition all leather no rips.Bad Points..it needs engine mounts sorting and exhaust cat back and new set of treads i think there is some bushes gone as its clonking over bumps and steering is shit it runs out of mot in dec and tax ran out end of november.Winge...Reason its got to this is i lost my job (credit crunch) and running out of cash and have to find a tdi mile eater (around £2500) to get about for a while. Better than pouring more money into the vr. im am so gutted i have to get rid it!! (if i could justify 2 id keep her) i was thinking of breaking it as i know its really good money but living in a shared house the rest of them aint to keen on a dismantled car on the drive. Thanks for reading and any comments or offers let me know. Many thanks Andrew.
golfgirlvr6 0
Try and sell it for £1500 then it shows the others that you are trying to do something with it, then if it doesnt sell (having no mot and tax doesnt help as noone wants to pay a lot for a car without them) break it as you will probably get more for it that way like you say, advertise it on gumtree, its free and you can put it in loads of areas, and try friday ad or ebay?! Hope i havent been to unkind?!
mike 6
id say teh above price is about right, agree with the coment on tax and mot, i wouldnt buy a car without a decent mot on it personly...
Dave_ciw 507
It has the fact that she is a highline going for her.. But if I was the buyer I would screw you to drop the price over MOT. 140000 aswell I know what its like to lose a motor you love over the cash your throwing at it. My 325i was the same. I hope you get what you want mate but seriously look at the price of breaking parts at the min I know its a shame but it may be the best way to get the price you want...... The Monk 50
Yup buddy, I'd keep it and buy a crappy run around or a decent cheap run around But be prepared to be bored with its power lol. Use it at the weekends to keep your sanity.
Seademon 0
I stuck my car in the garage for a few months at the weekend & got myself a £100 Mk4 Escort 1.4 LX! 1990, Black, 1 owner from new and all original - has no power compared to the Golf but its nice to just knock about in and not have to worry about the dirt or the grit eating my wheels etc
