Jonnyboy82 0
I need your advice fellow dubbers my mulberry vr6 is in the garage due to being crashed into by some stupid twat a couple of weeks ago whilst out taking the mrs shopping (typical) :@Anyway im waiting to see whether its going to be repaired on written off (fingers crossed) :S Apparently there's about a £1000 worth of damage so while the car is at the body shop I asked how much to respray my front bumper which i need of doing and he quoted me £180 now what i want to know is if this price is reasonable or expensive? hvr6 88
That sounds ok to me are they doing it on top of the repair?Where's the damage? For the record my insurance company paid £2k repair for my front bumper when some idiot caught the corner last summer, didn't write her off. :-) she's a low miler though which helped. Jonnyboy82 0
Yes they quoted me to do it whilst its there but i got to pay that as this is nothing to do with the accident i just wanted to get it resprayed and now seems a good time as im without the car anyway. The damage is n/s rear quarter basically a new rear bumper genuine vag obviously to be sprayed, push out a dent underneath my rear light and respray from rear quarter up to the door? The cars a low miler which i think will help the decision but i will find out in the next day or two :^) At least theres one good thing to come out of this i get to drive around in a brand spanking new Alfa 159 2.4 JTD :-p

Jonnyboy82 0
Paid the bodyshop a visit today to see if there was any progress with the vr6 and to my suprise the insurance company agreed to repair it. I got there and they had already made a start on my car so im well happy looks like i will have my baby back on friday :-p so definately no more shopping trips, lols.Anyway whilst i was there i managed to knock them down a bit for the front bumper respray and they also agreed to touch up any other bits that i wanted doing. Friday can't come quick enough, especially when ive just bought some coilovers to fit .
Jonnyboy82 0
So i got the car back today finally as the indicator stalk went and they had to replace it so that delayed my collection even more. But im well happy with thend result. :-p Anyway drove off and realised the airbag light has come on and stays on, am i right in thinking that as they had to remove the steering wheel to replace the indicator stalk that they have to reset the airbag once put back on?If this is the case is there anybody local to me (enfield) that can do this or is it worth me buying one of the vag com usb leads with the software off ebay? Thanks
