Karr-Man 0
not necessary with a standard manifold... maybe if u have a schrick???
ian1966 0
Have a standard vr6 manifold but cant get my srak plug socket down the hole. done 5 of them no probs its the 2nd on the right at the front.
ian1966 0
sorry 2nd on hte left
vr6newcomer 1
if its a standard mani then there shouldnt be anything there dude, i am assuming as youre stating spark plug you have allready got the lead off? and maybe this one is a bit tighter than the others so a qualit spark plug removal toll will definately help. ian1966 0
No i cant get spark plug socket down the hole. it looks like a part of engine or manifold is just slightly over one side of the hole so theres just not enough room for my socket to pass. Im gunna take the manifold off tomorrow & have a look. its seems stupid to have to take it off for 1 plug. I had a mechanic change the chains wonder if hes put everything back as it should be! mannie 0
Are you using a proper spk plug socket on an extention bar? there is a slight off set there, you should still get enough clearence to the plug without having to remove anything else.
