[moved] Angel Eyes

There's something about angel eye headlights .... I have to get some (as my first, minor, mod)

Does anyone have any experience of which are good/bad? Easy to fit? (yes, I'm a noob - I'll check the haynes as soon as I get chance)

I've just taken some off mine and sold them!

They were on the car when i bought them, so no idea of what make they were.

Dead easy to fit.

* Firstly pop out the grill, an assortment of clips hold it on.

* Once the grill's off you should be able to see the bolts that hold the headlights in. 3 or 4 bolts on each unit i believe. Either a 8mm or 10mm socket needed.....can't quite remember which one!

* Once unbolted, pull the headlight unit out a little and unplug the electrical connector at the back.

* Re-fitting is the reversal.

i'm sure it was a 6mm socket i used today

on a different note and sorry to hi jack the thread but i was trying out some tinted lights but didn't have any side lights to fit so was running on just the main lights, anyway to the point there was a very noticable difference in the brightness with the old set being alot brighter.

any thoughts??

The tints?

the tinted were alot duller as in about 1/3 of the originals, but i was only using one bulb in the tinted one (not the side light)

could have been using the wrong wattage of bulb thinking on it, what should it be??

Pass. No idea to be perfectly honest.

i've looked and it was a 55w bulb i got and thats what etka says it is. might try them with side lights, but will need to get some as the socket and bulb doesn't fit the connector
