Moochalargo 0
I am thinking of fitting a lightened flywheel to my car soon. I have to replace the gearbox as the on in the car is not well, so as the box will be out i was thinking of a lightened flywheel! is it an easy task to change a flywheel? i did it on my old beetle but had to mess about with endfloat shimms etc. also i am going to put a new release bearing and clutch in! any ideas on good ones? ive seen "xtc" high preassure clutch and 10 lb. flywheel packages on ebay usa. for £145 + 70 to post! sounded cheap to me!? Lizard Racing 0
If you are keeping the engine stockish then fit a genuine VW clutch, if not then Helix, Spec are good but maybe more than you want to spend./ Ive even run an AP friction plate in mine with a standard pressure plate.Fidanza, Autotech are a couple of the best. I used a very light weight (4kgs) standard one but it was too thin imo.Buy something that you have heard of thats all I would say and not crap.
