jesterwalker69 0
Would the ABS light come on if my rear brakes are totally shot?? Or could it be something worse?
xyber 1
mine came on with just a chaffed cable on the front sensor
jesterwalker69 0
Well the reason i ask is coz my rears are fooked so if its coz of that then thats reassuring. I just dont want any OTHER work to have to be done lol
xyber 1
more than likely then, it would would probably pick up that the fronts were stopping quicker than the rears and spit out a fault codesimilar to when the ABS light comes on when your on a RR
Phat VR6 3
Is it metal on metal with no pad left? My abs light came on because of the iron fileing stuck to the sencer (magnetic)Went off after I cleaned them up and changed the pads so you could be lucky

Matt W 4
Checked the sensors, my front left one was covered in crap. I have cleaned it up and cleared the faults and it seems to be fine at the moment.Getting the sensor out can be a pain if its rusted in place. I left mine in as not to damage it further and cleaned it the best i that i could with and old tooth brush and some brake cleaner.

OEM+ 1
i had this problem with mine, my abs light keept coming on an off an and over time it stayed on. so i vag comed an got intermetint fault code the first time an done it again when the light stayed on, which then changed to a fault code telling which sensor it was. all the time the light was coming on an off ment the sensor was braking down, it cost my £90 from vw for a rear sensor
