Phat VR6 3 Posted May 31, 2008 Report Share Posted May 31, 2008 The trans gearbox one is filled with brown oil. Realy easy to change. , Remove the 15mm bolt that goes though the middel of the mount. Then jack up the gearbox, Remove the 3 13mm bolts that holds the braket onto the gearbox (this will just lift off giving you more space). Then theres 2 13mms that hold the mount into the cup, Lift out and replace then just bolt it all back together againThe other side ive never done but try doing it the same way.. good luck Link to post Share on other sites

xyber 1 Posted August 5, 2008 Author Report Share Posted August 5, 2008 undid them all and jacked up the engine one side at a time, depending on which mount I was doing, drivers side mount is scary as the engine is jacked up to a very strange angle, took about 90 mins to do both the rear ones, so not bad at all, made a BIG difference though, gear change and clutch felt tighter and solid when you floor itif you go on the VF enginnering site, you can print fitting guides for their mounts to use as a rough guide, its got torque settings and tips on it Link to post Share on other sites
