Haydn 0 Posted May 29, 2008 Report Share Posted May 29, 2008 OK, i need your help. MK2 VR6, i have vr6 pump, the slim cream colourd resovoir with red top. Im not sure which steering rack i have, its either corrado or mk2, if theres a difference?? Never had a problem before, i was advised that it needed green fluid, i topped the resevoir up, it had dropped to half way over 2 years. Now my pump is really noisy sounds like nackerd bearing sort of noise and my steering rack is leaking. But the leaking fluid is redish gold. I was then informed that the red top on the resovoir indicates red fluid but that doesnt really apply as the system is a bit hybrid. So maybe it had red in before when it was fine, i have been told that both corrado and mk2 golfs should use the green fluid. can anyone please just clear up what fluid should be used and what colour the resovoir caps are on both corrado vr6's and mk2 golf gti's??ThanksHaydn Link to post Share on other sites
