she's still sick

Hi, got a 1992 2.8 golf vr6 thats not well at all. She idles iraticaly and lacks low down power but starts well. Ive tried changing the plugs ,put a brand new maf on ,changed some leaky air pipes and am now running out of ideas and money. Theres also an intermitent pop from the exhaust not a full on backfire.

Shes a left hand drive cause Im living in Holland and Im prity stuffed for advice as Ive left all my vw friends back in blitey. Could someone please help me with some ideas of what to try next.

Were the plugs black when you took them out? It sounds like a fuelling issue, which after the work you've done would probably centre itself as the Lambda probe being the problem. Any chance of a VAG.COM?
