Muddy Funker 0
Hi Guys New Memer Here Been lurking for a while and really like this great forum. My beloved Golf VR6 has just died, heater matrix went then a few weeks later what i thought was the head gasket which is what i was expecting. Its at a garage at the moment having all the necessaries done but here is the problem, i've just had a call from the mechanic and he told me the head is shot and is good for nothing, i trust him totally and i know he's not pulling a fast one.I'm really reluctant to let this car go as i only bought it 6 months ago and love it.I've been looking at a couple of companies that supply recon heads but there are no clear prices and its all done on an email basis.I'm not looking at taking this car to the max i just want it back on the road. The car is a 1993 model.Any help will be greatly appreciated as to what to do?Any decent companies or suppliers and an idea on price? Many Thanks.G
