Saralou 0 Posted April 17, 2008 Report Share Posted April 17, 2008 Hi, Hopefully someone can help...i have recently bought a VR6 that has been lowered, well lets just say it can't get any closer to the floor and although its great fun its very bumpy on british roads so need some advise about what replacement springs to put on it as its a subject i have never had to deal with before!!Any info will be greatlfully recieved.Thank you Link to post Share on other sites
Devildub_06 0 Posted April 17, 2008 Report Share Posted April 17, 2008 It depends whether or not a proper "lowering kit" was installed. When I purchased mine it was lowered 60mm give or take, drove it home from Hemel to Royston approx 25 miles, and my back hurt when I got out. Turns out the springs had been CUT down, and the standard dampers left on were totalled. Make sure this isn't the case with yours.As for recommendations, depends on how deep your pockets are, I personally went for a 40mm drop Spax PSX damping adjustable kit (Springs and matched dampers). According to a few on here a good start is good quality lowering springs and Bilstein shocks. Link to post Share on other sites
