lewvr6 0 Posted March 27, 2008 Report Share Posted March 27, 2008 The oil temp sensor on the trip computer doesnt register any temp (hasn't worked since ive had the car).Ive looked on top of the oil filter housing and two wires are connected to the housing.However there is a third wire hanging around there?! But i cant find anywhere for this to connect to?Could this be the cause of my non functioning temp readout?Any suggestions on what else to try? Link to post Share on other sites

I searched the forum and was led to believe the oil temp was taken from the top of the oil filter housing.But i may be wrong. Link to post Share on other sites
gkjnr 0 Posted March 27, 2008 Report Share Posted March 27, 2008 as you look at the oil housing theres 2 plugs at the fron ,and at the back left there should be another sensor,maybe the previous owner had it go faulty and put a bolt in it instead of getting a new sensor Link to post Share on other sites
