gkjnr 0 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 i was hoofing my motor along today with a wrx at the back of me it pulled to the redline in 2nd 3rd but when it hit 5500rpm in 4th it just died, it still goes ok i just wondered what could cause that to happen Link to post Share on other sites

xyber 1 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 if its not running 100% its a waste of time putting it on a dyno really as it does put the engine under strain as its getting all the max output figsb4 I had mine up at stealth I got it vagcomed just to check it was 100% Link to post Share on other sites

xyber 1 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Share Posted March 15, 2008 Thats why its better to not take it above 4000 untill is been custom mapped, then it makes sure its running 100%, before you nail it, it leans off and damages somethingfitting the charger does require the timing to be adjusted and obviously the fuelling aswelljust out of interest did you fit a 4bar fpr?
