tonk 0 Posted March 7, 2008 Report Share Posted March 7, 2008 cant lisen to my radio as the ariel leed that conects in to the head unit is dodgy, is there anywhere or anyway of replacing it?its the round push on part thats iffy as when the head units out and you push it on hard it works but by the time its all pushed back in the signals gone.if i was to cut it off could i crimp a new one on? it was the same with the old head unit that was in the car when i got it. shail 0 Posted March 8, 2008 Report Share Posted March 8, 2008 Try Halfords. They do sell the other type of arieal end (ISO) so they may sell your type (DIN). If they dont sell the DIN type, you could but the ISO type and then buy the second product on this website: http://www.nexxia.co.uk/Car_Stereo_fitting_kits/antenna_adaptors.htm that way if you do change your headunit in the future you'll have bothe ISO and DIN available to you Link to post Share on other sites
tonk 0 Posted March 8, 2008 Author Report Share Posted March 8, 2008 Thanks for that! iv got a kenwood unit with comes with a DIN adaptor so what ever one you need you've got it if you need it, iv just ordered a new ISO connecer for my arial leed so when that comes il cut the old one off and crimp that one on and see if thats sorts it.........i hope so!
