xyber 1
post a pic mate, id be weary of drilling it, you could set the bag off and get a face full of black and decker moving very fast

bigjak 0
I am going to change my very squishy rubber wheel for a worn but firm leather wheel. Is there anyway to try and avoid this bolt shearing problem? Is it typical? Should I proceed with maximum caution?
Matt W 4
Not something i have heard off with regards to the bolt shearing. If you want to drill it also remove the cowling around the steering column. There should be a yellow plug disconnect this as its for the airbag. Should be less likely to go off once disconnected but i would say the risk is always there!
Bobtrude 0
The bolt is very hard to get loose, so use a new and solid allen key.
Phat VR6 3
as above and tap it all the way in with a small hammer... sounds like youve turned it into a right shit of a job good luck
Samson 0
sounds like a nightmare, I dont know how you would get a drill in there to begin drilling it out, not much space...Mine both came out without any issues at all on both of my recent VR's, just to rub it in, but I have never heard of them being that hard to get out...I know you can get tools that will bite into what is left of the bolt or nut once it has been rounded off/out. I would try that first but sounds like someone has had a powerbar on it!!!
Phat VR6 3
lol You can get a 90 degree air drill if its too tight.. Not sure if they do an electric one tho
