Basically my Mk2 vr6 has started stalling and bogging out at junctions etc also just cutting out on a morning if i dont keep it Revving, As a result of this i need to get it plugged upto a Diagnostic laptop tomorrow but i havent got the Diagnostic connection on the Wiring loom as it was missing when the conversion was carried out. I have got the little gray wire that comes off the wiring loom but not the connection that fits the wire that comes from the diagnostic laptop. Any know what you call the bit i need? or what the part number is? will be much appreciated for any help. thank you. Link to post Share on other sites
Copper 0 Posted December 1, 2007 Report Share Posted December 1, 2007 The early OBD1 cars just have two connectors including the grey one. These then go into the laptop cable.The OBD2 has the 'proper' diagnostic port.Depends which car you have. VW can print off the the full loom layout which will help you with colours and type of connectors. I think OBD1 were 2 pin connectors. Link to post Share on other sites
