spitfiredealer 0
Hey everyone, i have a 1996 MK3 VR and my drivers side headlight keeps blowing blubs. When i took one out this morning it had appeared to of burnt the wireing. I put another one in and seemed to be fine for a bit but when i started the car a bit later it had gone again. Any ideas please?
kilokilla 0
sounds like a bad earth mate check all your connections to that light if you have a loose connection inside light it causes them to arc and spark and generates heat which can melt wires and messes with the voltage which can blow the bulbs. russj249 2
Bit of a silly question but you're not touching the glass part of the bulb at all when you replace them are you? The grease on fingers generates heat and overheats the bulb and they blow. You probably already know this though.
