ardandy 0
Just VAG-COM'd the VR6 and it came up with the following; We checked the fault codes and then cleared them. Started the engine up and then ran VAG-COM again. This was all done within 10 mins so the engine never got up to temp. The faults listed here were identical to the faults listed before we started the engine, I've heard I need to run the engine for a while after clearing the codes but we didn't have time and these came up immediately.VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-NChassis Type: 50 - VW CorradoScan: 01,02,03,08,15Address 01 ------------------------------------------------------- Controller: 021 906 258 AG Component: MOTOR PMC 1 Coding: 0261203109 Shop #: 12673575315 Faults Found:00522 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62) <------- Just replaced this last week? 27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent00553 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) 29-10 - Short to Ground - Intermittent00537 - Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulation 11-10 - Control Limit Not Reached - Intermittent00533 - Idle Speed Regulation 09-10 - Adaptation Limit Surpassed - IntermittentReadiness: N/AAddress 03 ------------------------------------------------------- Controller: 1H0 907 379 C Component: ABS/EDS TEVES 041 Fault Found:00532 - Supply Voltage B+ 35-00 - -Skipping Address 15-AirbagsEnd -------------------------------------------------------Now even I can figure out that the MAF and Lambda need replacing (this is being goingon months so I've given up going down the cheapest route!) but I'm not sure what the Idle Speed Regulation fault is? My ISV valve was replaced a few months back albeit with a used one. Could it be something else?I've also just replaced the Blue ECU temp sensor so I'm wondering if the fault its coming up with there is related to one of the others?Any ideas guys?Cheers! SankysVR6 1
Did you set the ISV to the basic setiing after you insatlled it. I guess not as you need vag com to do it and you've just got it recently, it might something to look into.
ardandy 0
PSI Tuning installed it not me.Even on OBD1 engines you need to do that?
SankysVR6 1
The ISV is only on OBD1 engines.have a look at this linkhttp://the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/VR6_ECU_Reset_Procedure
ardandy 0
I do know what a car is, but it sort of ends there. You know the people who say "my PC doesn't work so I had a mate who knows about PC's look at it, now it doesn't work at all". Well I'm that mate!I thought (here we go!) that ECU resets were only needed when you changed something on the car (different component as opposed to a replacement). Doesn't the ECU learn new values, like as if you go from a faulty sensor to a new one?Either way I'll try it!
