Right bit of the vw convo, but been thinking about getting another little pup. I've got a girl staffy at mo and she awsome. Was looking at rescuing one but have to be careful as no one really no's there past and dont want my dog getting hurt. So think getting little boy as pup she might take it under her wing and act as mummy lol.Has anyone got 2 dogs. Are they loads more hassel then 1?

If you can cope with 2 dogs, afford it and have the space then cant see why not? I am saving up at the minute to get a British Bulldog...........& they aint cheap been looking about and the champion sired ones are about 2k!! anyone on here breed them?

2k?? i know some one that got a bulldog for £500.think ur mate was bumped mate (nick). l1_ibk go for another staff,they are lovely dogs,loyal,good with kids and only aggressive to people the don`t know . i.e. vr6 theiving scum. lol.

Dude i have 2 staff's. My bitch (Blaze) is now 6 and my male (Harvey) is just 2 so kinda the same situation as you my friend! We were well happy with blaze a proper lady, always loving and always did what she was told, we had her from a pup so shes well settled. We love staffs so thought lets have another, again from pup but this time a male. He was tiny when we got him at 4 wks, to early but difficult circumstances meant we had to have him then. The first 6 months were brilliant, proper yampy full of fun, stupid almost! blaze took to him no probs, their no threat at that age.

I must say they don't fight as such but blaze will snap at him when he try's to play to much but he soon backs down. he's so much like a 6yr old kid. They really are like humans Male dogs shit, piss, fart, CHEW, slobber all in the places they shouldn't, we have gone through 2 dining room tables, yes that includes the 8 chairs, skirting boards, loads of garden furniture he even chewed through the Kitchen wall into the living room!! But i wouldn't swap him, they play for hours, they clean each other, they share food, give them a football...........I'll light my J!!! Apart from their destructiveness its what another staff needs! IMO i wouldn;t rescue a staff, you dont know their history and a bad choice could kill your bitch, get a pup and bring him up the way you want he will give you so much in return.

I wouldn't say having 2 is more hassel just more time consuming and more exspensive just get a pedigree male with papers and you cant go wrong.

My bitch is 12 (Shyanne) and my man (Rip) was 15 when i had him put down last year. They got on superbly never had any probs.

Before them I had Carver (15.5).

D & B should be fine but 2 Dogs and your asking for trouble. One day they will fight for dominance.

I agree with VagSlag i wouldn't go for recue just in case. All mine have been fully KC registered.
