Futch 0
Evening all,I plugged my VR into VAG COM at the weekend, and I finally found my ABS problem - VAG COM was showing a fault with the N/S rear sensor, so we jacked the car up,and found that where we had re-positioned by ABS wire to allow fitment of my Eibach ARB's, the heat from the exhaust has mellted the ABS wire insualtion. We adjusted the position of the wire, and re-insulated, but it appears to have been too damaged, and the light stays on.Can I purchase a new wire, or should I attempt to chop out the bad part, and wire a new bit?The damage is a few inches away from where the multi-plug is attached that clicks into the sensor.Cheers! SankysVR6 1
Depending on how good you are at soldering you could just replace the damaged bit wire, and do sort of bodge repair. But if your like me it would keep bothering me that it wasn't done right and i would have replace the whole sensor at some point.
