Smoothing engine bay

Hi all.

This is too all you turbo/charged owners. I am in the process of smoothing my engine bay. I am relocting the wiring looms thought the chassie legs. And my battery and washerbottle are getting relocated to the boot.

I want to pannle my N/S (where my battrey was) so the pannle will come from the top flich (where the wing bolts on) to the chassie leg, So you will no longer have a big gap where you can see the inside of the wing/ wheel. I am planning to run a charge cooler from schimmel and im wondering if there enuff space to fit it after this pannle has been added, I.e does the charger cooler disserpear under the top N/S flich???

I would love to say ive got a charge cooler so I could fit to it before doing the smoothing but the plan is to get the body how I want it fully resprayed running around N/A for the next year or so then, Get the money together to do the turbo converstion.

I carn't see a problem with the O/S atall but was wondering if anyone knowns if the charcoal filter is important (black canister O/S/F somthink todo with fuel return and petrol vaper) and if my VR will run correcty without it.

Any close up pictures of a charge cooler in a mk3 engine bay showing the room in relation to the flich would help me out alot.

the arbon canister you can dump with no problems... dont know if the charge cooler will fit but why not use a fmic instead then you wont have a problem?

True true, I just wanted a charge cooler because I hurd they did a better job, quiker responce and thought it would involve less work
