Wheel refurbing

Recommended Posts

I'm getting my original BBSs refurbed soon and was pondering over a slightly different colour.

The wheels are in pretty good nick, not much kerbing at all, just a bit of corrosion and bubbling under the paintwork. I've found a local place who will shotblast and strip them down and do two new powder coats and lacquer for £140 for the full set, which I thought was pretty good.

Should I get them redone in the standard silver colour, or something slightly different. I was thinking along the lines of a light gunmetal grey - it would probably suit the dragon green colour.

What do you reckon (to the price as well)? :S

I promise I'll eventually post some pictures of it when the BBSs are back on, I've only had it a few days, but I don't like the current 5-spoke TSW wheels, even though they are almost brand new!

i just got a set of BBS RM`s for my mk1, i am stripping them, making them waaaaaay wider ;) with new outer rims and bolts :) and im having the centres powder coated gloss black by a local firm for £30 a rim, so the price you got seems decent

as for colour change, a gunmetal would look pretty good, but i prefer the original silver on standard rims personally
