twin twotone turbos 0
So here it begins, you will all probably be sick of the sight of me soon as i know very little about engines and all i do is ask questions. :$ Where would the best garage/shop be for me to buy bits for my VR6. I would like to start with a BMC CDA induction kit and a different back box and maybe a de-cat pipe but not sure on the best exhaust systems.Do spark plugs make a difference to the engines performance/responce. I live on the border of Northants and Cambs.
Ben Seabrook 4
Hello fella,Just a quick one but if you are after a BMC have a look in the chatbox posts as Pete is selling one cheaply !!!!Not sure about garages in your area but GSF is a good place and premium members get a discount
Ickyketseddie 89
I live onthat side of northants too. I use a garage in Northampton for all of the work on my VR. They are very honest and have always done a bang up job for me. And I've met others that say the same. Lion Garage (VAG Specialists) - 01604 750757He doesn't really source aftermarket parts so you'd need to supply them if you went there but you could rest assured he'd fit them well. Parts I suppose are probably cheapest from the world wide web anyway. If you post specifically what you want i'm sure we can all have a nose around and try to find the best deals.Sounds like your BMC is already sorted ^^^
twin twotone turbos 0
Thankyou ^^, i found a couple of places in Wellingborough that seem very good, got some 6 by 9's wired in by a audio company and found a performance centre on the same industrial estate. Supply and fit a Pipercross cold air induction kit for £250. Reasonable? I did ask for a CDA but they said they are very similer. I just looked out the window and its stopped raining, so a quick wash and i will take some photos.Of the car, not me
Ben Seabrook 4
Supply and fit a Pipercross cold air induction kit for £250. Reasonable?Depends which kit it is ?? but they are really easy to fit so as long as not a lot of that is fitting cost
Ickyketseddie 89
I think i have a recipt for my RAM Air induction kit for about £120 from when i got it. And like mentioned above there easy to fit! D&G motors in Wellingborough are supposed to be very good but I always found them a little pricey myself.
twin twotone turbos 0
I think they were a Pipercross/K'n'N agent. They were very friendly and helpfull though. I think i will stick to a BMC as i read all your posts/replys and feedback on them and they sound very good. I also read the post on how to fit them but i think it wise to take it to someone who knows what they are doing :-p
